Minca is a very picturesque town on the way to the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta. The temperature is an agreeable average of 17 degrees and if you stay for several weeks in Santa Marta, you might just need a bath in the River Minca to rejuvenate and refresh yourself. On the week- ends, you will find many local people that come from Minca and other towns of Santa Marta to cook their "Sancocho" (delicious vegetables soup) at the coasts of the river. It is also a delight to take a short excursion to "Pozos Colorados," the blue fountain, to bathe in the waterfalls. We recommend you to buy organic coffee there to taste the flavour of our local coffee zone!
