Tayrona Park
The National Natural Park Tayrona in Santa Marta is one of those tropical paradises idealized in books and films. Its white beaches right next to the exuberant jungle make of it one of the most visited Natural Parks in Colombia.
By leaving the beaches, the visitor enters a complex system of stone paved paths, which connect a whole network of indigenous settlements from the coast to the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta.
Arrecifes
Located 45 minutes from Santa Marta and you arrive there passing the main entrance of the Parque Tayrona , after an eco-tourist walk through the tropical jungle. Arrecifes is a marvelous untouched beach with a beautiful natural landscape where you also will find campsites and restaurants. There is also a fresh water stream, which springs from the canyon of Santa Rosa in Sierra Nevada.
La Piscina
After Cañaveral, you arrive by an ecological trek to the best beaches for swimming in Tayrona Park. "La Piscina" gets its name from the natural barrier of corals that form a pool with calm and safe waters for swimming.
Cabo San Juan del Guía
After Arrecifes, there is a 20-minute walk along a path of big rocks between the tropical jungle and the sea, which ends at the truly magnificent deserted beach of "Cabo San Juan del Guía". It is perfect for swimming and camping. There are food stalls and it also has a viewpoint which allows you to appreciate an excellent landscape and the immense ocean.
Nudist beach
The most solitary beach of the Tayrona Park is situated beyond "Cabo San Juan del Guia". An ecological walk leads to this fantastic beach with its very calm and safe crystal waters. It is the best example of a deserted beach that you will ever find and is popular with nudists.
This fascinating trip to the Tayrona Park in Santa Marta begins with a 45-minute eco-tourist walk from Cañaveral to Arrecifes through the tropical jungle.

Arrecifes is a visually very beautiful beach, but you cannot swim there because of strong submarine streams. But then a 20-minute hike leads to "la piscina", a natural pool where you can bathe in the Caribbean Sea.

And you will spend the rest of the day at the beach of Cabo San Juan del Guía, where you will be able to enjoy delicious seafood and other local dishes at fair prices ( beteween 6 and 10 USD).
