Ecological Integration
Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:
The eco-tourist cottage "Barlovento" has been awarded with the National Award of Architecture of Natural Integration.
Its natural integration is complete as it is built of natural elements such as wood and materials of the surrounding areas. The house rests on a big rock between the river and the Caribbean Sea.
Daniel García, the owner, has committed himself to the natural environment. He grows flowers, cleans the beaches and pathways adjacent to the Finca.
The meals offered by the Finca consist of fresh fish and fruits of this wonderful place.
