The special thing about this lodge  is that is is located right above the sea with excellent views of the best beaches of the Tayrona Park. You really can enjoy the waters without any danger, unlike the beaches of Arrecifes and Cañaveral, where it is forbidden to swim. One thing to note is that the lodge is only accessible on foot or horseback.

 

Cabo San Juan del Guía is located in the central area of the Tayrona National Park in Santa Marta, between the beaches of La Piscina and Playa Nudista.

To enter Tayrona Park, it's needed to pay the entrance fee of 24,000 pesos for colombians, 53,500 for foreigners and18,000 for unde 25.  

From april the 1st 2017 it is required the yellow fever vaccine to enter the Tayrona National Park.

Se accede a la cabaña por la entrada principal del parque Tayrona en Cañaveral y hay que caminar una hora y media hasta llegar a la playa de Cabo San Juan, o también se pueden alquilar caballos o mulas.

Getting there

Getting there may be a disadvantage for some people, because from the main entrance of the Tayrona Park in Cañaveral, you have to walk 1.5 hours, or hire a horse or a mule to carry the luggage.

From Santa Marta you must take the road to Rioacha and access Tayrona Park for the entrance of Cañaveral.
